LSUS Selected as Host Site for 2025 NAIA Baseball Opening Round
Shreveport, La. – For the fourth consecutive year, Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) has been selected as one of 10 host sites for the 2025 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round, set to take place May 12–15 at Pilot Field.
LSUS earned the host bid as the No. 1-ranked team in the NAIA, completing a perfect 47-0 regular season, including a 30-0 record in Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) play. The Pilots have held the top spot in the NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll since March 3.
The NAIA Baseball National Championship Selection Committee—made up of NAIA head coaches and administrators—chose host sites based on geography, facilities, host qualifications, and submitted bids, which were due April 15.
The 10 Opening Round sites will feature a total of 46 teams, with six sites using five-team brackets and four sites using four-team brackets. All tournaments will be conducted in a double-elimination format. Each site winner will advance to the 2025 Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series, to be held May 23–31 at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho.
Details regarding teams, game times, and ticketing information for the Shreveport site will be announced soon.
