Bio

Megan Bruce was named LSU Shreveport’s Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Success on November 13, 2024. In this role, she assists with advising student-athletes, developing academic support programs, and partnering with the Athletics Department to ensure student-athletes excel both in the classroom and in competition.

A proud LSU Shreveport alumna, Bruce brings a wealth of experience in leadership, performance improvement, and student success initiatives. Her professional background blends academic research, business management, and data-driven decision-making, equipping her to make a meaningful impact on the university’s student-athlete community.

Prior to joining LSUS Athletics, Bruce served as a Student Researcher at LSU Health Sciences Center, where she collaborated with physicians and researchers to apply data analysis in clinical and academic settings. She also demonstrated strong leadership as the owner of Well Fed Meal Prep, where she oversaw training programs and managed day-to-day operations of the business. These experiences reflect her commitment to innovation, strategic planning, and student-centered growth.

Bruce’s academic achievements include a Doctorate of Acupuncture and a Master’s in Acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry from LSU Shreveport.

Through her passion for student development and her dedication to academic excellence, Bruce is committed to supporting Pilot student-athletes in reaching their full potential both on and off the field.
